Vulcan performs several works of social responsibility to the community, employees and entities. Currently, the main ones are:
FUBRAE –Supplementary Agreement to fund secondary school education for employees of the productive area.
FIA –Agreement with the Foundation for Children and Adolescents which contributes to the development of the concept of citizenship of children and adolescents at social risk.
Assoc. Moradores da Vila São Jorge –Monthly distribution of basic-needs grocery package. Day care centers support. Donations to the community parties.
Escola Dom Oscar Romero – Donation of mattresses and teaching materials. hydraulic and electrical networks repair. Gardening services. Environment week promoter.
Comunidade São Francisco Xavier –Monthly Donation and contribution to the festivities promoted by the community.
Volunteering -Provides an area for cultivation of a garden whose harvest goes to the employees and the local community.
Satisfaction Survey - A survey is done periodically in the communities to measure the level of satisfaction of the Vulcan's social programs.
Medical Care in the Factory - Maintains a medical center at the factory for the employees in the areas of general medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, audiometry, and others.
Children’s party - To celebrate Children's Day Vulcan promotes a party for employees and their families with the distribution of toys and gifts.
