PREPARING THE SUBFLOOR

- The basic condition for the application of Vulcapiso is that the subfloor should be dry, clean and firm. Subfloor preparation is absolutely a necessary condition for a perfect installation:
- The location and general condition of the subfloor should be evaluated before starting work.
- The subfloor should be free from old adhesive residues, otherwise it will cause problems for bonding the product.
- Flooring subject to moisture must be completely sealed before application. The presence of moisture will cause future warp problems at joints.
- If the subfloor contains imperfections (gaps and ripples), these should be corrected through the application of water + PVA (white glue) + cement.

Vulcapiso Apllication

- Vulcapiso should be applied in enclosed and indoor areas, and in subfloor other than wood (planks, parquets, etc.) - The wood gives off over time, a liquid that will stain the vinyl flooring. It should not be applied to subfloor subject to moisture (in the case of underground or ground floors caused by leaks and seepage). Use sheets belonging to the same production batch number, this will prevent application layer with variations of shade. If you notice this problem, do not apply it.
Sheets should be installed in the same direction with the smallest or tops placed in areas with lower access.

Apply sealant in the joints (seams), seeking to remove the excess with clean cloth. The sealant serves to join a sheet to the other, preventing infiltration of moisture and helping to prevent future problems of detachment at the seams.
In places such as kitchens, laundry rooms and bathrooms, sealing the edge of the floor with the walls and sanitary drains is essential. This sealing eliminates the possibility of water seepage down the Vulcapiso Plus, avoiding detachment.

Use and care

-After installing the floor, it is recommended that it be waxed with colorless wax recommended for vinyl flooring. It is important to wait at least 04 hours after drying of the joints before waxing the floor.
- Never wash Vulcapiso. The use of abundant water may cause leaks that result in displacement and opening of joints. For cleaning, use a damp cloth in water with detergent or soapy liquid, or a cloth with alcohol. Never use for cleaning Vulcapiso any type of solvent, acid, petroleum products, caustic soda, chlorine bleach or chlorine.
- When moving heavy furniture, place them under a resistant cloth. This will prevent the product surface is scratched. Place under the legs of chairs and tables, protective rubber or felt.
