Vulcan has been working on plastic laminate technology in Brazil since 1948. This has entailed over 50 years of research and commitment to development in Brazil. The company, owned by the ILP - Laminated Plastics Industry, has four plants for the manufacture of plastic products, with headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, a subsidiary in San Roque (SP), and two subsidiaries in Europe, France and The Netherlands . Currently, Vulcan is the largest producer of plastic films and laminates in Brazil, providing raw material for almost all industries such as stationery, automotive, promotional gifts, transportation, decoration, fashion, visual communication, engineering, architecture and flexible and rigid packaging.
Furthermore, it generates over 1,000 direct jobs and thousands of others indirectly. It has major projects in the social and environmental areas, promoting several educational and community organizations.
